Courtney Cotter King is set to release her latest original single, Fine Breed, available everywhere on Friday, September 3rd.
Courtney was born with a piano as an appendage, and is inevitably attached to the keys. Her pop-rock, blue-eyed soul transcends decades, with an unheard freshness that grins throwback ear to ear.
FINE BREED gives off 60’s at the beach vibes; with comparisons to Carole King, Bonnie Raitt’s Give It Up album, and Nathaniel Rateliffe and The Night Sweats. It’s ‘growing up in the nest’ references are an ode to her close family upbringing and influenced the album’s title, Brood. It’s shimmying instrumentation and lyrical experience set up Courtney’s smooth vocals for a song well worthy of “Hey Google/Siri/Alexa… play that song again”.
